Set the trip-frequency threshold
Count flights, train trips and trunk changes expected in the next year. If the stroller will face cabin-size checks several times, folded dimensions deserve top priority. TRVL lx is about 17 lb when the listed canopy and armbar are added, making the equipped stroller close to Butterfly 2's 16 lb. Butterfly 2's decisive advantage is its 17.6-inch chassis width and much smaller folded height and depth.

The TRVL lx accepts Nuna PIPA-series infant car seats directly with no adapter. Butterfly 2 is car-seat compatible with adapters. The exact compatible seat and adapter must be verified for the current Canadian product.
If you already own a PIPA and make frequent short car stops, direct attachment can outweigh Butterfly 2's smaller fold. Fewer loose parts means fewer opportunities to leave an adapter at home. If the stroller will rarely carry an infant seat, that advantage may disappear.

Bugaboo publishes a 17.6-lb underseat basket for Butterfly 2 and an additional seat-back pocket. Nuna describes the TRVL lx basket as an easy-access shopping basket. Butterfly therefore has the clearer evidence for a known cargo load.
TRVL lx counters with the included carry bag, quick-release wheels for an even smaller packed shape, front-wheel swivel locks and progressive suspension. Those features can suit mixed daily surfaces and checked transport. They do not make it cabin-approved.
Run the airport-to-neighbourhood rehearsal
- Pack the diaper bag exactly as for a trip.
- Fold the stroller while holding that bag.
- Carry it for the actual distance required by the route using the supplied strap or bag.
- Place it in a taped rectangle matching the carrier's current limit.
- Unfold, recline and secure the child setup you will actually use.
- Repeat with the everyday trunk or entryway.
