Choose Nuna TRVL lx if you use a Nuna PIPA infant car seat and want a direct, adapter-free connection plus an included carry bag. Choose UPPAbaby MINU V3 if its smaller folded box, narrower 18-inch width and published 20-lb basket are more important than direct attachment. MINU V3 can accept selected Nuna infant seats, but it requires the correct adapter.
Inventory every connection part

MINU V3 is the clear published-space winner. UPPAbaby also calls it IATA-compatible and overhead-friendly. Airline acceptance is still controlled by the operating carrier, so confirm current limits and expect that some trips may require gate checking.
The equipped weights are nearly equal. Do not base the choice on Nuna's 14.6-lb number without adding the approximately 2.4 lb for canopy and armbar that Nuna excludes.
The PIPA fork
The TRVL lx directly accepts PIPA-series infant seats with no adapter. UPPAbaby markets adapter 0901-MXA-WW for selected Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, CYBEX and Clek infant seats on Minu V3, but its current product page does not enumerate the compatible Nuna model names. That supports a brand-level adapter path, not a model-level yes for a particular Canadian PIPA. Keep the Minu/PIPA pairing unresolved until UPPAbaby names the exact seat in current written guidance.
For a PIPA family moving between car and stroller several times a day, TRVL lx wins because the connection adds no loose adapter. For a family that rarely uses the infant seat on the stroller, MINU V3's smaller fold can easily outweigh that benefit.
Build two packing manifests
Manifest A: infant-seat transfer. Record the stroller, exact infant car seat, required adapter, carry protection and the place each loose part occupies. TRVL lx keeps its documented PIPA-series connection adapter-free and includes a carry bag. For Minu V3, do not place a Nuna seat in the manifest until current written UPPAbaby guidance names the exact model; adapter 0901-MXA-WW by itself is not that model list.
Manifest B: stroller seat only. Both manufacturers publish stroller-seat pathways from birth to 50 lb. TRVL lx uses a near-flat recline and raised calf support to form carriage mode; MINU V3 has a carriage mode and deep recline built into its seat. Follow each manual for setup and restraint use, and do not treat either stroller mode as a sleep product.
Run the parts-and-space departure simulation
- Place every required adapter and bag on the floor.
- Install the exact infant seat, then remove it and fold the stroller.
- Pack the stroller beside normal luggage in a taped trunk or cabin rectangle.
- Carry it for the route distance while managing the normal diaper bag.
