Short answer: choose Aer² when stairs, transit changes and repeated trunk lifts are the harder part of the day. Choose Minu V3 when long outings and a fuller bag make basket load more valuable. Aer² folds to 20.9 × 17.3 × 9.2 inches. UPPAbaby publishes 10 × 18 × 21.5 inches for Minu V3 with the seat. The numbers are close but arranged differently; there is no universal smallest stroller without a target opening.
Measure the trunk entrance, not only the floor. Include the parcel shelf, wheel arches, child seat and luggage. At home, measure shelf height and the space needed to lift the stroller out. A difference smaller than an inch can matter at one opening and disappear in another.
Both compact packages appear in travel conversations, but dimensions are not airline permission. Fare, operating carrier, aircraft, sizer, overhead space and gate conditions remain in control.
Newborn labels match; newborn paths do not
Both current manufacturer sources list use from birth. That common label does not make the setups interchangeable.

A family already using an UPPAbaby infant car seat may value the Minu V3 path because fewer brand transitions need checking. A family choosing a Joolz Cot, Nest to Seat or Aer² footboard may find the Aer² system more coherent.
Do not award points simply because an accessory exists. Build an 18-month list and remove anything without a planned date and job. Three compatible products you will use are more valuable than ten theoretical options.

Start Aer². The 2.4 lb lower frame appears in every carry. Confirm the 17.6 lb basket covers the rest of the outing.
Long city day

What neither specification sheet settles
Wheel dimensions, suspension labels and folded measurements cannot tell you how either stroller will feel on your hardest local route. Try the exact models with a realistic load if curb cuts, broken pavement or winter-cleared paths dominate the week.
Handle fit also depends on the adult. Published height does not capture stride, grip and walking clearance. If caregivers differ significantly in height, each should push before the family assigns either model the everyday role.
Basket rating is equally incomplete. One bag may be under the weight limit yet fail at the opening; another may fit but block access to smaller items. Load both in the sequence used during the outing, not as a neat showroom arrangement.
A purchase check without brand loyalty
