Can I pack soup or yogurt outside the thermos?

No. Put wet foods such as soup, yogurt and dressings in the thermos. Each side compartment handles only a small amount of moisture, up to one teaspoon of liquid; sections made with the divider are not leakproof.

Can I remove the thermos for a sandwich?

Yes. Removing the thermos creates a larger space for a sandwich or other cold lunch. Reinstall the securing insert when placing the thermos back in the box.

Will OmieBox V1 spare parts fit this box?

No. The redesigned V2 and original V1 have different parts. V2 has a rounded OMIE logo and a small vent hole near the handle; check the model before ordering.

How do I help food stay warm?

Preheat the thermos with hot water for five minutes with its lid off, then carefully empty it before filling. Soups and saucy foods hold warmth better than dry foods. Use caution with hot water and test food temperature before eating.

Can it go in the dishwasher or microwave?

No. Hand wash all parts and never microwave the box or thermos. Dishwasher heat and harsh detergents can warp the box and affect its seal.

What if the thermos lid gets stuck?

Do not force it open. Pressure can cause a sudden release. Keep the opening pointed away from people and pets and contact the manufacturer for help.

Are utensils or dip containers included?

No. OmiePod utensils, OmieDip containers and other accessories shown in meal photographs are sold separately.

Care & Use

Hand wash all parts with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Remove the lid seal and thermos gasket after every use, wash and dry fully, then reinstall evenly. Preheat or pre-chill the thermos with water for five minutes, with its lid off, then empty before adding food. Fit the securing insert when using the thermos inside the box. Close the box latch, then press down on the lid with your palms to activate the seal. Do not microwave, put in an oven, on a stovetop, in a freezer or in a dishwasher. Do not boil the thermos. Keep the thermos below the ridge under its neck and do not over-tighten its lid. Take care with hot contents, steam and internal pressure. Do not pack carbonated or fermented contents. Never force open a stuck thermos lid; keep it pointed away from people and pets and contact the manufacturer. The lid seal is not a toy and must not be worn around a child’s neck. When storing the box, remove its lid seal.
