Can the Nuna PIPA be installed without its base?
Yes. The Canadian PIPA manual provides carrier-only installation using a vehicle lap-and-shoulder belt or lap belt through the blue belt guides. Follow both the car seat manual and your vehicle manual for the exact belt routing and locking steps.
Which strollers work with the Nuna PIPA?
PIPA is compatible with all Nuna strollers. Nuna also lists select premium strollers; confirm the exact stroller and required adapter before creating a mixed-brand travel system.
When does a baby outgrow the Nuna PIPA?
PIPA is for rear-facing use from 4–35 lb and up to 32 inches. Stop using it when either stated limit is reached and follow the user manual for all fit requirements.
Is the Nuna PIPA certified for aircraft use?
Yes. The Canadian PIPA is certified for use on commercial aircraft with or without its base. Contact the airline before travel to confirm its child-restraint policy.
Care & Use
Wash the seat pad with cold water and mild detergent, then hang-dry in the shade. Do not bleach, dry-clean or iron. Clean the shell, handle and harness straps with mild detergent, water and a soft cloth; air-dry.
Rinse the buckle with warm water only. Do not use soap, solvents or lubricants on the buckle. Allow it to air-dry. Do not remove the energy-absorbing foam beneath the seat pad.
