The AACE is a belt-positioning booster, not a harnessed car seat. A child should meet the stated age and weight minimums and be mature enough to remain correctly seated with the vehicle lap-and-shoulder belt for the entire ride.
How does the AACE fit a growing child in high-back and no-back mode?
Keep the high back in place while the added head, shoulder, and belt-positioning support is useful. Move to no-back mode only after the child is at least 5 years old and 50 lb, the vehicle provides suitable head support, and the belt fits correctly as directed in the Canadian manual.
Is the AACE safe to leave secured when no child is riding?
The ISOFIX attachments help keep the AACE secured to the vehicle seat during use or transport. Always follow the vehicle and AACE instructions for the selected seating position.
