Both Obsidian Black and Quartz measure 16.9 in. wide. Check the available seating position and rotation clearance in your own vehicle; a narrow seat does not guarantee three-across fit.
Rear-facing use supports 4–50 lb and 17–48 in. tall, with at least 1 in. of head clearance below the top of the headrest or shell. All fit conditions must be met. Stop using the mode as soon as any limit is exceeded.

The base is designed to stay installed between rear-facing and forward-facing harness modes. Confirm that the installation method remains permitted for your child’s weight and follow both the seat and vehicle manuals.
Turn the seat toward the vehicle door to make loading and buckling easier. Before driving, lock it into the approved rear-facing or forward-facing position and confirm the green seat-lock indicator. Never drive with the seat turned sideways.
Use the correct rear-facing recline-indicator zone for your child. The Canadian manual requires the upright position for forward-facing travel; do not carry the rear-facing recline setting into forward-facing use.
Yes. Follow the removal instructions, remove the headrest-pad foam inserts and cover the hook-and-loop fasteners before washing. Wash soft goods separately in cold water on a delicate cycle without chlorine bleach. Tumble dry 10–15 minutes on low and remove promptly. Wipe harness straps clean and air-dry; do not machine wash them.
No. The Slim is a convertible car seat used with its base in the vehicle, not a stroller-compatible infant carrier. Follow the manual whenever removing the seat from the base.
