Frequently Asked Questions
Can the shoulder straps be crossed?
Yes. For front inward-facing or outward-facing carrier modes, the straps can be crossed in an X or worn parallel. Choose the fit that is comfortable and secure. With crossed straps, fastening is done at the front rather than by reaching behind to connect the chest strap.
What are the carrying positions?
With the panel attached, use front inward-facing, front outward-facing or back carry when baby meets the requirements for that mode. With the hip seat alone, use hip, front inward-facing or front outward-facing support. Hip-seat-only use is not hands-free: keep one arm supporting your child at all times. The minimum weights are 12 lb (5.5 kg) for inward-facing carrier mode, 15 lb (6.8 kg) for outward-facing carrier mode, and 17 lb (7.7 kg) for back carry or hip-seat-only use; fit and developmental requirements in the manual also apply.
Care & Use
Remove the foam seat base and fasten all hook-and-loop fasteners and buckles before machine washing. Use mild detergent without bleach, perfumes, dyes, chlorine or optical brighteners.
Minimum weight is 12 lb (5.5 kg) with the removable panel, 15 lb (6.8 kg) for outward-facing carrier mode, and 17 lb (7.7 kg) for back carry or hip-seat-only use. Maximum weight is 45 lb (20.4 kg). Use the panel until baby has strong and consistent head and neck control. Without the panel, one arm must support the child at all times. Never allow baby to sleep facing outward. Keep the face visible and airways clear; follow every fit and fastening instruction in the original manual.
