PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties. deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.

Deuter’s Airstripes design uses two contoured foam profiles with ventilation channels and a reduced contact area against the back. This creates space for air circulation while the pack remains positioned close to the body.
What age and fit range is the Junior designed for?
Deuter lists a recommended body-height range of 130–168 cm. Buyers should use that range together with an actual shoulder-strap and sternum-strap fit check for the child.
Can a jacket be carried outside the main compartment for school or day trips?
