Can the Callisto G 360 seat fabrics be machine washed?
Yes. Spot-clean the removable fabrics with a clean cloth and mild detergent, or machine wash separately in cold water on a delicate cycle. Air dry; do not iron or bleach. Follow the care labels and manual when removing and refitting the cover, shoulder pads, infant insert and buckle pad.
How do I clean the harness straps and plastic parts?
Spot-clean harness straps with a clean cloth, mild detergent and water, then air dry. Do not machine wash or iron the harness. Wipe plastic parts with a clean cloth using mild detergent and water. Never use bleach, household cleaners, solvents or lubricants.
How do I clean the cupholders?
Remove the cupholders and wash them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Reattach them securely before using the seat.
Are the Callisto G 360 fabrics free of added flame-retardant chemicals?
Yes. CYBEX states that the seat meets the applicable flammability requirements without adding flame-retardant chemicals to its fabrics.
When does the Callisto G 360 expire?
The seat expires 10 years after its date of manufacture, rather than 10 years after purchase. Check the date marked on your seat and discontinue use at its expiration date.
What are the Canadian rear-facing, forward-facing and booster limits?
Rear-facing: 4–40 lb (1.8–18 kg), with standing height below 43.3 in (110 cm) and at least 1 in (2.5 cm) of head clearance below the top of the shell or headrest, whichever is higher. Forward-facing with harness: 26.5–65 lb (12–29.5 kg), 33–49.2 in (84–125 cm), and at least 1 year old. Booster: 40–120 lb (18–54 kg), 44–57 in (112–145 cm), and at least 4 years old. Your child must meet every requirement for the selected mode, including harness or belt fit; see pages 10–12 of the Canadian manual. Keep your child rear-facing until they reach the seat’s rear-facing height or weight limit.
When should I remove the infant insert?
The insert has a head pad and a seat pad with a removable foam wedge. The seat pad may be used up to 11 lb (5 kg) with the wedge, or up to 20 lb (9 kg) without it. The head pad may be used up to 20 lb (9 kg). Follow page 34 of the Canadian manual for removal, refitting and harness routing.
Can the Callisto G 360 be used on an airplane?
Yes, the Canadian model is certified for aircraft use with its internal harness. It is not certified for aircraft use in booster mode. Check with your airline before departure and follow pages 72–74 of the Canadian manual: the aircraft installation and belt routing differ from vehicle installation.
When must I use the tether?
Use the top tether in both rear-facing and forward-facing vehicle installations, whether you install with the lower anchors or the vehicle seat belt. Follow the seat and vehicle manuals for the correct tether anchor and routing.
Can I use LATCH and the vehicle seat belt together?
No. Do not combine the two installation methods in harness mode. CYBEX prefers installation with the vehicle belt. The lower-anchor child-weight limit is 30 lb (13.6 kg) rear-facing and 35 lb (15.9 kg) forward-facing; use the approved vehicle-belt method above those limits. Booster mode uses the vehicle lap-and-shoulder belt to restrain the child; follow the separate booster anchoring instructions.
Must the seat be locked when it is empty?
Yes. Always rotate and lock the seat rear-facing or forward-facing before driving, even without a child in it. The sideways position is only for loading and unloading.
Can I use the canopy in booster mode?
No. Remove the canopy for booster use. When using the harness forward-facing, do not lower the canopy below the top of your child’s head.
What does SensorSafe monitor?
After setup, the SensorSafe chest clip and app provide alerts for an unbuckled clip while the vehicle is moving, temperature concerns, prolonged seating and a child left behind. SensorSafe supplements caregiver attention; it does not replace supervision, correct installation or checking the rear seat after every journey.
Can I install the seat with an inflatable seat belt?
No. The Callisto G 360 must not be used with inflatable vehicle seat belts. Check the seat and vehicle manuals to identify an approved seating position and installation method.
What are the lowest and highest harness heights?
CYBEX lists the harness height range as 7.4–19.1 in. Adjust the no-rethread harness with the headrest: straps should be at or just below the shoulders rear-facing, and at or just above the shoulders forward-facing.
Which Canadian safety standards does this model meet?
The supplied Canadian owner’s manual states that this child restraint meets the applicable Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 213, 213.1 and 213.2. Use the Canadian instructions and labels supplied with your seat for its approved configurations.
Care & Use
Follow the sewn-in care labels when removing and refitting covers. Check the harness fit, rotation lock and installation before travel. Use the seat only within its labelled limits and replace it at the expiration date marked by CYBEX; the listed service life is 10 years from manufacture.
